Huntington Bank UX/UI Design Competition
1st Place Winner in UX/UI Design Contest
This was a contest developed by faculty at CCAD with the UX/UI design team of Huntington Bank.
Three teams were developed to see who can develop two widgets that will then be implemented for their Standby-Cash Program. A tool developed with the interest of providing loans for individuals in need due to constraints of the pandemic. With the 1st place prize being $300 and the opportunity to work in a co-op program with Huntington Bank and the opportunity to work with them after college.

In this contest, I created two unique widgets based on the personas the Huntington Bank's UX research team provided. From this, I developed widgets for the assigned persona of someone who isn't completely reckless with their money but is often somewhat aloof towards it. This makes them unsure of how they choose to spend or save their money entirely ( a sentiment too close to home for me). On top of creating these widgets, I had to develop an idea for how individuals of this type may be able to pay back their standby-cash loans, in a way tailored towards them. First came the idea of overplus: a tool that uses AI to track concurrent spending patterns as well the use of GPS data to track where you have expendable income to set aside for savings or for paying back your loans and showing your savings growth and trend. Second, CO-OP: a tool used to make a temporary joint-savings account for crowdfunding. From something as small as getting the rent from roommates easily or as big as saving a trip to Disneyland. Showing you your goals, individual portion, and who has contributed to it as well. These widgets earned me a 1st place ranking amongst my cohort.
